Handlebar J is a one of a kind Scottsdale landmark, family owned and operated since 1975 by Gwen Herndon and sons. A cowboy/western themed bar and restaurant offering up the best BBQ pork ribs, Niman ranch steaks and burgers, fish tacos, grilled artichoke apps, Elotes Asados, yummy appetizers, a unique bar and beautiful patio. HBJ also offers live music and dancing nightly. One of the last true "Honky Tonks". HBJ's history is unlike any other. A must visit for locals and out of towners.

HBJ offers FREE dance lessons on Wednesday nights at 6:45. A great date night idea. Also Line dance lessons on Tuesdays at 7pm; $5 per person.
The Herndon Brothers band play Wed. thru Sunday; live music also on Tuesdays with other great local bands.
Wednesday nights are "Back to Lucky's night" featuring some of the valley's best live music featuring J. David Sloan, The Herndon Brothers and a kickin' 3 piece horn section; the fish fry on Wed. and Fri. has become very popular, and it's only $9.95 from 5-8pm.
